This policy applies to orders from DAYTODAY (DayToday.lk) and takes effect on 11 October 2026. In short: if an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, tell us within 3 days of delivery. If we confirm the problem once the item is back with us, we send you a new one of the item you ordered, or refund you if it’s out of stock.
1. Report the problem within 3 days
Contact us within 3 days of delivery (calendar days, so weekends and holidays count) if an item is damaged, defective, or different from the item you ordered. Send us:
- your order number;
- a short description of the problem; and
- clear photos of the item, the problem, and the outer packaging.
WhatsApp: 074 010 2939 (from abroad: +94 74 010 2939). Email: [email protected]. You can also use our Contact page. Support hours are Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
2. What can be returned
We accept a return when all of the following are true:
- the item arrived damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered;
- you reported it within 3 days of delivery;
- the item has been used no more than needed to discover the problem; and
- it comes back with all its parts and its original packaging.
We can’t accept returns for a change of mind, or for damage caused after delivery.
A fault that shows up later may be covered by our warranty: electronics carry at least six months. See section 9 of our Terms & Conditions.
3. How to send it back
- Wait for our support team to accept your return request. Please don’t send an item before then.
- Pack the item securely, with all its parts, in its original packaging.
- We’ll send you the return address on WhatsApp. You can send the item by courier, or drop it off at our warehouse in Delgoda at a time we arrange with you.
You pay the cost of sending the item to us, even if it arrived damaged, defective or wrong. This cost isn’t refunded. We pay to send anything back to you: a replacement, or your original item if we don’t confirm a fault.
4. Inspection and outcome
We check every returned item before deciding the outcome.
- Fault confirmed: we send you a new one of the item you ordered if it is in stock. If it isn’t, we refund you.
- Fault not confirmed (for example, no fault is found or the damage happened after delivery): we send the item back to you at our cost.
5. Refunds
A refund covers the price of the item and the delivery charge you paid. If you return only some items from an order, we refund a fair share of the delivery charge, in proportion to the items refunded. We process the refund within 10 working days of receiving the item and confirming the fault.
Cash on Delivery and bank deposit orders are refunded by bank transfer. We’ll ask you for the bank account to send it to. Your bank may take a little longer to show the money in your account.
6. If you paid with Koko or Mint Pay (where available)
Buy-now-pay-later refunds go through the provider. Within the same 10 working days, we start the refund with Koko or Mint Pay. The provider then refunds you under its own terms.
- Koko: Koko refunds what you have already paid to the card you used, and updates your remaining instalments. Koko says this usually takes 3–5 working days to reach your account. If your refund comes more than 14 calendar days after your order date, we confirm it with you in writing on WhatsApp or email, and tell Koko within 24 hours of that. See Koko’s terms.
- Mint Pay: keep paying your instalments as scheduled until the refund has been processed. Mint Pay then refunds your card and/or reduces or cancels your remaining instalments. See Mint Pay’s terms.
