Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you shop on DayToday.lk.

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. Who we are

DayToday.lk is run by DAYTODAY HYPERMARKET PVT LTD, a private limited company registered in Sri Lanka (company registration number PV00294746), trading as DAYTODAY. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean DAYTODAY HYPERMARKET PVT LTD, and “you” means the customer.

  • Registered address: 2G, Pananwala, Delgoda, Gampaha, Sri Lanka. Please don’t send returns here; we send you the return address on WhatsApp.
  • Email: [email protected]
  • WhatsApp and phone: 074 010 2939
  • Support hours: Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM

We are an online store based in Delgoda. You can also visit our warehouse to see and buy items in person; please contact us first to check availability and arrange a time.

These terms take effect on 11 October 2026 and apply whenever you use DayToday.lk or place an order. By placing an order, you agree to them.

2. Placing an order

You need to be able to enter into a purchase to place an order. Please give us an accurate name, delivery address and phone number, and keep your account password secure if you have an account.

Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order becomes a binding sale when it is paid for:

  • Cash on Delivery: when you pay the courier on delivery;
  • bank deposit: when we have verified your payment; and
  • Koko or Mint Pay (where available): when the provider approves your payment.

Before we dispatch your order, we may cancel it if an item is unavailable, a price or description shown was clearly wrong, we can’t deliver to your address, or we suspect fraud. If you had already paid, we refund you in full within 10 working days of cancelling.

3. Products

Product photos are representative. Colour, packaging or small design details may vary slightly by batch and by your screen, but the item you receive will match its description. All products are subject to availability.

4. Prices and delivery charges

Prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) and include all applicable taxes.

The delivery charge is added separately. It depends on the delivery option you choose at checkout and the total weight of your parcel, and is the same anywhere in Sri Lanka:

  • Courier service: charged by parcel weight;
  • Post courier: charged by parcel weight and order value, at Sri Lanka Post's Cash on Delivery rates.

The charge for the option you choose is shown at checkout and added to your order total before you place the order.

If a payment method has a different price, the price for that method is shown at checkout before you order. The amount you pay always matches the total shown at checkout.

5. Payment

The payment methods available for your order are shown at checkout. They are:

  • Cash on Delivery: pay the courier when your order arrives.
  • Bank deposit: follow the payment instructions shown after you order and upload your deposit slip. Please pay within 24 hours. We may cancel unpaid bank-deposit orders after 24 hours. If you pay after that, contact us: we process the order if the item is still available, or refund your payment within 10 working days.
  • Koko and Mint Pay (where available): the provider’s own terms also apply to your instalments.

6. Cancelling or changing an order

You can cancel or change your order free of charge at any time before it is dispatched. Message us on WhatsApp or call 074 010 2939. Once an order has been dispatched, it can’t be cancelled. If you had already paid for a cancelled order, we refund you within 10 working days of the cancellation.

7. Delivery

We deliver islandwide. Orders are usually dispatched within 1–2 working days. After dispatch, delivery usually takes:

  • Courier service: 1–3 working days;
  • Post courier: 2–5 working days.

Cash on Delivery is available with both options. These times are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates. See our Delivery page for more.

If a Cash on Delivery parcel is refused, or the courier can’t reach you:

  • the courier will try again;
  • if that attempt also fails, the order is cancelled, the parcel comes back to us, and you owe nothing for the items; and
  • before accepting another order from you, we may ask you to pay in advance and to pay the delivery cost of the failed delivery.

8. Returns, replacements and refunds

If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, tell us within 3 calendar days of delivery. You pay to send the item to us, even if it is faulty; we pay to send anything back to you. Our Returns & Refunds Policy explains how returns, replacements and refunds work. We don’t accept returns for a change of mind.

9. Warranty

Electronics carry a warranty of at least six months from the date you receive the item. By electronics we mean any product that runs on mains power, USB or a rechargeable battery. Other products carry a warranty only where one is stated on the product page.

The warranty covers manufacturing faults. It doesn’t cover misuse, accidents or normal wear and tear. To claim:

  1. contact us with your order number and photos of the fault;
  2. once we accept the claim, send the item to us at your cost; and
  3. if we confirm a manufacturing fault, we repair or replace the item, or refund you if neither is possible. We pay to send the item back to you.

10. Using the website

Please don’t misuse DayToday.lk. That includes trying to gain unauthorised access, interfering with how it works, placing false or fraudulent orders, or using someone else’s payment details without permission.

Our name, logo, text, graphics and page design belong to us and may not be copied or reused commercially without our permission, except where the law allows. Other brand names belong to their owners.

The website, or a service it relies on, may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control.

11. Your personal data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. Marketing messages are optional, and you never have to agree to them to place an order.

12. Our liability

If we are responsible for a loss, our liability is limited to the price you paid for the order concerned. This limit doesn’t apply where the law doesn’t allow it, for example death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.

We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, natural disasters, strikes, or courier or network outages. If that happens, we will tell you and complete your order as soon as we reasonably can.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add a payment method. The current version and its effective date are always shown on this page. An order is governed by the terms in force when you placed it.

14. Disputes and governing law

If something goes wrong, please contact us first on WhatsApp at 074 010 2939 or by email at [email protected], and we will try to put it right. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and disputes are handled by the courts of Sri Lanka. This doesn’t affect your right to complain to the Consumer Affairs Authority.
